The Kurume Environmental Award is given to citizens and organizations that have made outstanding achievements in environmental activities in Kurume City, with the aim of realizing a "city where nature and humans coexist and sustainable development is possible. The "Environmental Achievement Award" is given to citizens and organizations that have been actively involved in environmental activities for 10 years or more. This year, a total of 26 organizations and individuals received awards in both categories.
We have been accelerating our SDG initiatives since 2020, focusing on environmental measures, etc. In August 2021, we achieved carbon neutrality at our head office business site by starting to use renewable energy and purchasing the "Kappa no Mori J-Kujiretto" (Kappa Forest) from the Kurume Tanushimaru Property District, thereby promoting our community-based initiatives. We are promoting community-based initiatives.
We will continue to actively work for the conservation of the local environment through environmentally friendly business operations and by proposing product lines that reduce environmental impact, with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.
