In-house training for the International WorldSkills Competition (Printing Division) is today (10/6) was the last. This week, we focused on the particularly challenging in-knees and had the participants return home early in the afternoon for tomorrow's departure. Tomorrow, they will leave for Tokyo on an early morning flight, and after a final training session in Tokyo, they will leave for Switzerland, where the competition will be held.

He stayed late into the night from early morning, sometimes working on weekends to train, and his fatigue was at its peak in the last few weeks as he was making his final push. Perhaps feeling the pressure, he himself had been ill until the beginning of this week. Since the pep rally was held under such circumstances, we were worried that it might put more pressure on him or make his health condition worse, so we decided to hold a small event with a minimum number of attendees.

We put a lot of effort into preparing a video message of support. Since the event was to be held in a small, in-house setting, we wanted to make sure that at least the video message of support would be of a quality that would energize him, if only a little.
So, since last weekend, we have been finding time to parade around the company with our video staff, working steadily to bring the total number of70We succeeded in recording messages of support from about 10 people. Furthermore, after calling out to various related parties, it was decided that the principal of Yame Technical High School, our alma mater, would attend the pep rally, and we also received a message of support from Mayor Shingo Haraguchi of Kurume City Hall. Finally, we were able to include a video of a freelance announcer who knows us well and our family members in the message video, making the pep rally a bit of a surprise.

It turned out to be quite a full-scale pep rally from the original plan, but I am glad to hear that both Kou himself and Teshima, who accompanied him, were pleased. Anyway, I am not concerned about the outcome, but only praying that he will be in good health and return to us safely and soundly.
