Koyo Co., Ltd., Kenbun Co., Ltd., Kowa Printing Co., Ltd., Sign Artec Co., Ltd., Central Profix Co., Ltd., Tokyo Offset Co., Ltd., Marushin Co., Ltd., and Yamazakura Co., Ltd. (in no particular order) are pleased to announce that they established the “Japan Sustainable Printing Association” on December 12, 2022.
[Background and Purpose]
The government has announced its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by reducing total greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050. Furthermore, the Financial Services Agency is considering making climate-related disclosures (TCFD) mandatory in securities reports starting in fiscal year 2023. As a result, the trend toward reducing CO2 emissions is accelerating not only among major corporations and local governments but across the entire country.
As terms such as “SDGs” and “carbon neutrality” become increasingly familiar to the public and concern for global environmental issues continues to grow, environmentally conscious initiatives are becoming increasingly important in the printing industry as well.
Therefore, we have decided to establish the “Japan Sustainable Printing Association” with the aim of promoting environmentally friendly printing and advancing initiatives within the printing industry to realize a sustainable society, thereby contributing to the sound development of the printing industry and its social contribution.
