Biodegradable plastic refers to a material that has the same durability as regular plastic and is ultimately completely decomposed into CO2 and water by the action of microorganisms in the natural world after use. In Japan, there is a system to certify as biodegradable materials those that "decompose 60% or more in three months.

We handle the Oji Group's Eco Marine Tack, an environmentally friendly film tack, as a biodegradable material. This tack for labels uses biomass plastic, which decomposes easily in nature, as the surface base material, and can curb carbon dioxide emissions when incinerated.
