We are pleased to announce that Hikaru Kaida of our company has been selected as a candidate to represent Japan in the “Printing” category at the 46th WorldSkills Competition, as announced by the Japan Printing Industry Federation (JPIF).
I competed in the National Skills Competition held at the end of October this year, and my performance in the competition was recognized.
The National Skills Competition is an annual event where young skilled workers compete to determine who is the best in Japan in their respective fields. Competitions are held in more than 40 categories, including printing, machinery assembly, electric welding, landscaping, and web design.
Since the international competition is held every two years, this national competition also served as a tryout to select athletes to represent Japan at the international event. Our company’s Kaida, who was selected for the Japanese national team, is scheduled to compete in the international competition to be held in Shanghai, China, around fall 2022.
