Press Release】 Introduction of Plastic Pallets Upcycled from “Marine Plastic Waste

We are pleased to announce that our company has been working to reduce the amount of plastic waste (marine plastic*) discarded at the seaside and other locations.1The replacement of all plastic pallets has been completed with upcycled plastic pallets (upcycled plastic pallets are used as loading platforms for transporting products).

The Marushin Group is committed to the realization of a sustainable society and the preservation of the local environment based on our vision of “Toward a community where people can live prosperous lives. In September 2021, we achieved ”carbon zero" (decarbonization), which means virtually zero carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from our headquarters manufacturing plant. Based on this achievement, we formulated our own "CO² Zero Printing" mark products and created a system that allows our customers to demonstrate their environmental efforts through packaging, stickers, and other means. Through these efforts, we are promoting proactive efforts to address environmental issues in society as a whole.

In recent years, environmental problems caused by waste plastics have been attracting worldwide attention, and ”marine plastics” discarded in the ocean or at the seashore have become a major problem. By introducing recycled pallets as part of our efforts to address the problem of marine plastic waste, we believe we can contribute to the prevention and reduction of marine plastic waste. We will continue to actively work for the conservation of the local environment through environmentally friendly business operations and by proposing product lines that reduce environmental impact, with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.
