The rules for “identification marks” have changed.

Change 1

●Regardless of the internal volume of the PET bottle, the identification mark can be reduced to a size equivalent to that of plastic or paper.
● The size of the engraving on the container remains unchanged

1. Engraving on Containers

No change to the engraving size on the container

2. Printing on the container or labeling

Regardless of the internal volume, the identification mark can be reduced to a size equivalent to that on plastic or paper.

[Less than 150 mL] Labeling is recommended
Regarding Label Changes: Even if the size of the recycling symbol is based on the pre-amendment standards, it still meets the post-amendment requirements (at least 6 mm on one side), so it may continue to be used.

Change 2

For PET bottles, it is now permissible to omit labeling on individual containers when labeling is displayed on the outer packaging, provided that sales are limited to the outer packaging unit.
