Contributing to food loss reduction and strengthening the bacteria inspection service system

Marushin is constructing a new facility, the "Innovation Center" across from the head office, which will house a new food testing laboratory.

Generally, expiration dates and consumption dates are determined based on the results of bacteria tests, but the rules also permit calculation based on similar products and actual results, etc., without bacteria tests, so there are some cases, especially among small and medium-sized food companies, where bacteria tests are not performed. However, in many cases, expiration and consumption dates are set short in order to reduce the risk of health hazards and ensure safety, leading to food loss and lost sales opportunities.

By strengthening our bacteria testing service system, we will recommend bacteria testing to many food companies regardless of size, thereby contributing to the reduction of food loss and sales opportunity loss.
