President's Column] 120 days at last!
We would like to express our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the victims of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred at the beginning of this year and to those who lost their lives. We sincerely pray for the speedy return to normal life.
Now, starting this year, our company's annual holiday will be120day. Employees look at me as if it were a matter of course, but I am not surprised.10Up to a year ago108As a manager, I feel as if I am jumping off the clean water stage, considering the fact that it was only one day.
As I mentioned before, the most significant factor was the sudden zero hiring of graduates from the two high schools that had been hiring graduates every year for many years. Even on Mynavi and Rikunabi, students can search for annual holidays when searching for companies.120We hear that the search is taking more than a day. The hiring environment will continue to worsen year after year as the birthrate declines and the population ages at an accelerating rate. The difficulty in hiring is not a primary trend, and I believe it will continue for as long as I am in business. Young people are scarce, so it is only natural that the value of scarce goods will increase. Perhaps the real minimum wage will also continue to rise without government initiative.
We are hearing more and more about businesses downsizing or closing due to inability to hire. If they cannot hire, they cannot "manufacture" or "sell. Companies with rising labor costs have no choice but to pass on the cost of labor to their customers in order to survive. It is normal to assume that the cost of various goods, materials, and services will also increase.
In other words, inflation will still continue unless there is a severe recession.2%Prices rise each year by about $3,000 and salaries by about $3,000.2.5〜3%The government is expected to continue to raise the interest rate by about 2.5 percent. Some believe that the lifting of zero interest rates is far from certain due to the impact of the earthquake, but we do not know. All companies may increase holidays and raise salaries, but this will not lead to hiring, as there are no people to begin with.
Then the last resort would be to hire foreigners andDXand robots, and other labor-saving and productivity-enhancing products. The depreciation of the yen has made Japan relatively less attractive to foreigners. We need to make a special effort or two to attract them to come to Japan. Perhaps even recruitment.DXI believe that unless we are willing to do everything we can, we will not be able to keep up.
We are sorry if we have made you feel gloomy with our whining and complaining. We are working positively to be more helpful to our clients. We will continue to provide you with as much information and case studies as possible, so that we can contribute to improving your business performance. We look forward to receiving your continued support and guidance. Thank you for your continued support and guidance.
