There are papers with good texture such as "Washi," "Rough Bagasse," and "Uneven paper such as crepe paper." Quality control contacted us saying, "The barcode of this product is hard to read. Upon checking, the barcode is blurred.

Compared to the previous print on uneven paper, the ink is blurred in the concave areas where the ink is not nicely applied. However, when looking at the ink, it is much thicker than the last time, and pressure seems to have been applied; when asked by the printer, he said that he also tried to soften the ink to make it easier to penetrate, and increased both pressure and heaping to the limit. This is a problem caused by the paper.

Paper such as "Japanese paper," "rough bagasse," or uneven paper such as crepe paper, which has no surface coating and produces a fluffy texture, has a good texture and produces boxes and stickers with a nice, natural finish. However, we have received many comments from the printing site, such as "Sorry. However, we often hear from the printing site, "Sorry, the finish is not as good as the last time.
These phenomena are due to the fact that the manufacturing process of these papers is rough in order to produce a fluffy texture (apparently that is where the roughness of rough bagasse comes from). Since this is done on purpose, it is not a quality anomaly but a characteristic of the paper, so the paper makers will not accept it as a complaint.
We try various methods, but sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, and sometimes they work but cause other problems, etc. When using these materials, we try to announce to the customer in advance that it is safer to use as little solid as possible, that larger letters are better, and that barcodes should not be small in size, etc. We try to make announcements to our customers in advance.
Having said that, Marushin has more experience with Japanese paper and other paper materials than other printing companies, and has earned a reputation for being good at Japanese paper and paper with uneven surfaces. As plates and inks are advancing day by day, we are constantly striving to improve our skills so that we can print well under any conditions and make our customers happy.
